Robert Fulghum (b. 1937) was born and grew up in Waco, Texas. He is an essayist, novelist, painter, sculptor, and has even worked as a singing cowboy! Fulghum published his first book, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, in 1989. This and his other 7 works of nonfiction have all rose to the top of the New York Times best-seller list. More than 17 million copies of his books are in print, in 31 languages and 103 countries. His writing has been adapted for the stage in two theater pieces: All I Really Need to Know, and Uh-Oh, Here Comes Christmas, which have been performed in more than 3,000 national and international productions.
